Who We Are

FRANKLIN HOUSE is a home for up to eight persons suffering from various forms of persistent and chronic mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders. It is designed to be a safe, secure and person-centered facility that provides its residents housing and an array of healthcare and social services. We use evidence-based  practices with the aim of preventing long-term re-hospitalization and re-institutionalization.

The physical layout and clinical programs are both designed to promote a least restrictive environment; to promote residents’ mental, physical and spiritual well-being; to provide them an opportunity to realize their full human potential; and to aid residents with their long-term recovery and reintegration into the community.  Our goal is to empower each of our residents to live a life that is active, productive, fulfilled and happy.

FRANKLIN HOUSE is nestled in a serene, suburban location. It is built on a heavily wooded lot with lots of privacy; and yet it is close to amenities (medical facilities, restaurants, close access to the freeway, and on a bus line so that friends and loved may easily visit).  Each resident has a private suite with a bedroom, comfortable full-side bed and mattress, sitting area, desk, bathroom, and flat screen TV.  Common areas include dining room, living room, activities room, recreation room, conference room, and barber shop.  The facility consists of eight suites, five on the upper level and three on the lower level.  There are staff offices on each floor.

FRANKLIN HOUSE is professionally staffed twenty-four hours per day, 365-days per year.  Staff include a Program Manager, human service technicians, occupational therapists, clinical psychologist, nurses, and a Medical Director.
